This package can replace emoticon text by HTML image tags.

It can search for emoticon text characters in a given text string and replace them by equivalent emoticon images.

The emoticon text and image mappings are defined in a separate script that maps emoticon names to the different equivalent representations for emoticon text symbols.

Details

This script shows a simple but powerful parser and highly customizable built in PHP.
It incorporates some classes of my framework that I am currently building (pH7 framework).
